New Pilates for Athletes series! This class is for athletes looking to gain that extra performance edge in the off season or in addition to your current training regime.
Classes are small and intimate with 5 people being the maximum in a group class.
You will learn the Pilates principles and the fundamentals of the Pilates Reformer, Tower and Chair.
By the end of this 5 week series you'll have developed greater body awareness and learn how to effectively engage your deep intrinsic core muscles - the stabilizing muscles that support your spine, pelvis and overall posture. Through targeted movement and mindful practice, you'll begin to move with more intention and control.
As a result, your body will start to feel longer, stronger, more flexible and better balanced - not just during your workouts, but in your every day life. These foundational skills can enhance your performance in other physical activities, reduce the risk of injury and help you build a more resilient and responsive body from the inside out.
